Applied research lab
Eidon Labs turns the sensory deprivation tank into an optimization device, built around two research pillars common to all our experiments: water and frequencies.
The starting point
Invented in 1954 by neuroscientist John C. Lilly, the sensory deprivation tank — or floatation-REST — immerses the body in water saturated with Epsom salt, heated to skin temperature. Deprived of gravity, light and sound, the nervous system gradually releases its load.
Half a century of research has documented its effects: lower cortisol and blood pressure, reduced anxiety and chronic pain, better sleep and recovery (work by Feinstein at the Laureate Institute, by Kjellgren, among others). This established base is our starting point — not our conclusion.
Eidon Labs has been experimenting with this tank since 2019. Seven years of continuous testing have taken us from classic floatation to a multi-technology optimization protocol — the one we document today.
The concept
It starts as a sensory deprivation tank: water saturated with Epsom salt, weightlessness, silence, darkness — the REST technique (Restricted Environmental Stimulation). Eidon Labs layers a stack of biophysical technologies on top to turn it into an active, measurable and reproducible optimization environment.
Weightlessness, silence, darkness. The foundation of the device — deep sensory offloading.
Selective antioxidant, anti-inflammatory. ~170 publications indexed in our corpus.
Brainwave entrainment — 40 Hz gamma, theta, binaural beats.
Conscious breathing to modulate the autonomic nervous system.
Cellular oxygenation through terpenes. Sequential, never simultaneous with H₂.
Exploratory field — tested under controlled protocol, biomarkers and blind conditions.
The core of the work
Water and frequencies run through each of our experiments — that's where the essence of our research lies. The rest of the device amplifies them.
Medium of floatation, carrier of frequencies and an object of study in its own right: structuring, memory and frequency encoding. Studied under controlled protocol, physico-chemical measurements and blind conditions.
Sound and light as levers for cerebral and cellular modulation. Binaural beats, isochronic tones, 40 Hz gamma, photobiomodulation — measured by EEG, versioned files, reproducible protocol.
Research
We target under-documented conditions and states. Each line combines several of the tank's technologies and is assessed through measurable biomarkers — no promises, data.
REST + conscious breathwork + frequencies + H₂. Nervous-system offloading, chronic cortisol regulation.
Sound & light frequencies + progressive sensory protocols. Exploratory ground, framed and measured.
Neural plasticity, 40 Hz gamma frequencies, neuroprotection via hydrogen H₂.
Molecular hydrogen (NF-κB pathway) + floatation + nutrition. Inflammation modulation.
EEG + frequency induction + sleep hygiene. Measuring cycles and slow waves.
Deep meditation + frequencies + water. Performance, recovery, clarity.
The experiments
Every protocol is labeled for what it is — established, experimental or exploratory — and backed by measured biomarkers. That's our guarantee of rigor to a partner.
REST while weightless, pre-saturation with molecular hydrogen, then oxygenation through terpenes — never simultaneously. H₂ safety non-negotiable: atmospheric sensor + forced ventilation.
Expose water to targeted frequencies, then measure: crystallization, spectrometry, physico-chemical markers. Openly exploratory — controlled protocol and blind conditions.
Brainwave entrainment (40 Hz gamma, theta, binaural) measured by EEG. Versioned audio files, reproducible protocol with blind conditions.
WBTB + MILD induction, validated by EEG. Openly exploratory ground — measured, documented, no claims.
Partnership
Eidon Labs is in R&D and documents every protocol on video. A partner gains honest editorial visibility and access to the data we produce — not an ad, a research collaboration.
